Room is clean. Small. Water view a joke. On the road for a month. Came here for a few days. No issues every where else we stayed as far as towels, chairs, umbrellas - things you need for the beach! Did not expect to be told to go find my own beach chairs and umbrella - especially after driving over 6 hours to get here. Beach is shell encrusted. No way to sit on it. Need chairs. But will probably spend half our day looking for rentals. Pool is packed with children. No peace and quiet there. Disappointed and discussed. If this is the norm for Sanibel we won’t be back.
Clean room.
No help with needs. No chairs or umbrellas for beach. Front desk couldn’t even give me numbers to call to rent. I was told to google it!!! Really!?!? Then I was given a map and told - here’s our map for our over 60s!! Ok so don’t help me at all then shove my age at me!?!? Seriously not good. So- if I am so old... you should be helping me more!!! Right! Not sending me out after a 6 hour drive to hopefully find what I need. This whole thing is disheartening.

Great location and price. The hotel was very quiet and clean.
Was not made aware that a credit card was mandatory or pay an extra 22percent charge that wil be refunded later by the bank after ccheckout. They didnt explain the beach chair and umbrellas if they where available. The room where clean but had mildew smell.

Great location and the pool was nice.
The rooms were small and out dated. The bathroom was remodeled, but the woodwork was filthy and beat up. The door to outside had glass panels and the outside hall lights kept us up at night. We found several cockroaches in the room.

quiet, clean and private rooms with private screened balconies.Lovely view of courtyard and shell loaded beach looking at the Gulf of Mexico. Being at the end of hotel row, very few people on the nice, quiet beach. Will come back again.
Would like to have seen a couple of plates in the kitchen, along with a fork/knife or something. That and the dog that was yapping on the balcony more than once in the room next door... when no pets are allowed. Will Still come back ...

We have been long time visitors to Sanibel, usually to condos, but were very impressed with the comfort of staying in a motel without the motel feeling. Well located, good restaurant, very convenient. We would stay there again.

Easy booking at this time of year. Prices was right. All convenient amenities such as laundry, daily bed making, nice bar,and excellent and friendly staff.
the ants in room were plentiful, however were exterminated quickly in unit #220. I sliped and fell trying to get off the beach. You need a set of steps down to small beach area. We intended to set on the beach, however there was almost no where to sit due to erosion. A deck close to the beach with steps down to the beach would have been lovely. Guest could then enjoy the gulf and sun on a deck near the small beach. All in All we had an enjoyable time. Please let me know if you install a sun bathing deck near the beach with acess to the beach. I would like to visit with you again. Thank You, Beverly Ann Bump

Great location! Located steps from the beach. Nice full size kitchenette.
No elevator (at least in the building I stayed in) and I had to drag 80lb suitcase up and down the stairs.

Very pleasant and relatively inexpensive stay, quiet, with a good breakfast at its restaurant.

Excellent value, nice and quiet for a relaxing get away.
Thought the bed was a little hard...I think you could replace beds with better quality/pillow top.

The atmosphere...friendly people, super clean room and bathroom, on-site restaurant with excellent, friendly service and great food (we only ate breakfasts there), sparkling clean pool with lots of lounge chairs and tables, pool-side bar/cafe, and the obvious to-notch maintenance of the Inn and grounds. The beach is beautiful...one of the best for shelling with a productive sand bar at low tide. We'll definitely go back and having been home only one day, we'd go again tomorrow if we could.
There was nothing to dislike.

They have bed bugs. We check out immediately that morning upon making the bed when we noticed the bugs. The staff came and saw the bugs for themselves. They offered us another room but that hotel is filthy. We left and thank god holiday inn had a few rooms left and we spent the remainder of our trip there without any further bed bugs. When we arrived home we put everything in the garage an immediately washed all of our belongings not even bringing the suitcases into our home. West wind inn needs to do a serious overhaul of their facilities.
